The Cayman Tail F/G can fit onto the rear of a vehicle and enable them to utilise their tailgate or barn doors. This concept is becoming more popular as a lot of campervans have cooking facilities at the rear of the van. Simple to pitch, the Cayman Tail can be erected by one person as seen in our Attwoolls Pitching videos. Outdoor Revolution use their tried and tested 120HDE material (75D) which is lightweight, but still has a waterproof rating of 3,000mm HH. The Cayman poled awning feels like a gazebo for your vehicle with the flexibility that it can either fit on the rear or side of your van.

The Tunnel section of the Cayman can connect to a wide range of vehicles. With a connect height of 180-240cm it will happily fit most VW sized vans and even some larger panel vans. Along with the height the tunnel depth is 140cm so this can happily accommodate most tailgates and even barn doors (providing the material doesn’t catch the top of the door). The Cayman has two doors in the tunnel section which allows you to enter your van without going through the awning every time.

The Awning comes with a rain safe door above the main side entrance so that not only do you face the right way on the campsite (rather than into your neighbour) but you have a good protective cover for those days when it rains. Throw over guyropes make connecting the awning simple and a pre-attached 4mm & 6mm Kador allows you to connect into a rail if required.

We think that this awning is good value for money and offers an alternative to the conventional side fitting driveaway awning.
